Stanley’s recovery philosophy grew from years of firsthand experience with addiction, treatment systems, 12-Step communities, relapse prevention, rebuilding daily life, and helping other people understand the thinking that keeps addiction alive.
That experience became Recovery Logic: a practical framework that looks at the full chain from situation or trigger, to thought, feeling, justification, decision, behavior, consequence, honest alternative, and immediate recovery action.
His approach supports abstinence as a stabilizing foundation while recognizing that recovery is not one-size-fits-all. ASAF education can include secular recovery, 12-Step-informed learning, faith-oriented recovery, and blended approaches without forcing one pathway on every person.
